Upgraded design, technology, and comfort drive rising demand among the capital’s drivers
Al Masaood Automobiles, the authorised distributor for INFINITI in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and the Al Dhafra Region, has reported outstanding results for the INFINITI QX80 in 2025. From January to July this year, the all-new edition of the flagship luxury SUV achieved a 67% increase in sales compared to the same period last year, while also expanding its share in the highly competitive luxury SUV segment.
The QX80’s performance is an indication of a wider shift in consumer preferences in Abu Dhabi, with customers increasingly gravitating towards statement SUVs that combine a commanding presence with refined luxury. Recent product enhancements have been instrumental in this growth, introducing a redesigned exterior, advanced driver assistance features, and elevated levels of technology and comfort. Notable upgrades include a new 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6 engine delivering around 450 hp and 700 Nm of torque, dual 14.3-inch displays, and a premium 24-speaker Klipsch audio system. These improvements have reinforced the QX80’s reputation as a full-size luxury SUV that balances prestige with capability.
Following the success of the QX80, INFINITI also introduced the QX80 SPORT earlier this year, further broadening the lineup. Designed for drivers seeking a more performance-inspired presence, the SPORT grade adds darker exterior accents, exclusive 22-inch alloy wheels, and a distinctive interior scheme, while preserving the comfort and craftsmanship that define the QX80.

The UAE luxury car market was valued at approximately USD 4.45 billion in 2024 and is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of over 5% between 2025 and 2034. Within this landscape, full-size luxury SUVs are forecast to account for a significant share of growth, reinforcing the QX80’s role as one of the most relevant models in the market.
