Audi launched a new version of the RS e-tron GT called “Ice Race Edition” with an eye-catching livery inspired by the homonymous concept which was originally designed to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Audi Sport GmbH. The special edition will be produced in a limited number of 99 units for European customers, highlighting the customization options made possible by the Audi exclusive division.
The production-spec Audi RS e-tron GT Ice Race Edition looks nearly identical to the concept from May 2023, with small differences in the grille’s wrap and the wheel/tire spec. The sporty EV borrows its name from the GP Ice Race that is held in Zell am See, Austria during winter.
The base for the exterior is a Florett silver metallic shade, combined with a black carbon roof, white emblems, and black-finished 21-inch wheels. The highlight is the addition of a foil wrap that covers the entire bodywork with “targeted transparencies”, trying to mimic the shine of snow crystals and ice lakes. Finally, the purple accents mainly focused around the grille are said to be inspired by ski goggles.
Moving inside, Audi designers added diamond silver leather inserts on the seats, contrasting with the black leather upholstery and the purple stitching. The steering wheel is wrapped in leather and Alcantara, with a diamond silver mark on the top, while the floor mats have special RS logos.
There are no mechanical changes compared to the standard Audi RS e-tron GT which gets dual electric motors producing a combined 637 hp (475 kW / 646 PS), sourcing energy from a 93.4 kWh battery pack.
