Return of FIA-certified, single-seater, entry-level series to Saudi Arabia – the first rung on the Formula ladder – announced today
– ALTAWKILAT Motorsport, the motorsport division of ALTAWKILAT, has today confirmed the return of the F4 Saudi Arabian Championship with five rounds of the FIA-certified, single-seater, entry -level series to be hosted in Sakhir, Bahrain and Jeddah, Saudi Arabia between October and December 2025.
First run in 2024, the F4 Saudi Arabian Championship – delivered under the authority of the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation (SAMF) – acts as a platform for talent development, and technological innovation on and off-track. It will mark its return with two back-to-back races at the renowned Bahrain International Circuit on October 10-12 (including an opening Test Day)–and 15-16. This will be followed by three more rounds in Saudi Arabia at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit – the world’s fastest street track – in November and December 2025.
Created to inspire, support and develop the next generation of Saudi and international racing talent, the F4 Saudi Arabian Championship will feature up to 20 drivers, all racing in the same make of car – the Tatuus Abarth F4 G2 (T421) – meaning that talent and racecraft will be the only variables on-track, ensuring an emphasis on skill over machinery at all times.
F4 Saudi Arabia is the Kingdom’s first and only FIA-sanctioned single-seater national championship – offering a cost-controlled, professional entry point and empowering young drivers aged 15 and older with a clear ladder to F3 and beyond.
However, F4 Saudi Arabia’s impact isn’t just felt on-track, as the series also creates professional career pathways for young Saudi engineers, mechanics, officials & race managers.
On this occasion, Eng. Mansour Al-Moqbel, Acting CEO of the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation and CEO of Saudi Motorsport Company, said: “The return of Formula 4 this year reflects the Federation’s ongoing efforts to support and develop motorsport, and to strengthen its position both locally and regionally. It also serves as a strategic platform to empower Saudi youth to enter this vital sector, allowing them to hone their skills and become the drivers of the future. The Federation remains committed to applying the highest standards of safety and security, reflecting the Kingdom’s determination to be a role model regionally and internationally in the field of motorsport.”
Mohammed S. Abduljawad, Chairman & CEO of ALTAWKILAT, commented on today’s announcement: “We are delighted to confirm the return of the F4 Saudi Arabian Championship next month. With five exciting rounds planned in Bahrain and Jeddah, we are thrilled to build on the solid foundations of our inaugural season. Our goal is to help young Saudi drivers and up-and-coming motorsport professionals to reach and exceed the limits of their potential by making their entry into the world of single-seater motorsport as accessible and beneficial as possible – on and off-track. In doing so, we are striving to elevate motorsport participation amongst Saudi youth, promote local talent, and position the Kingdom as a regional hub for world-class motorsport in alignment with the goals of Vision 2030.”
