Nissan Motor Co. welcomed the final ruling of the Dubai Supreme Court, which came in its favor and ended a legal dispute initiated by its former distribution partner, Al Dahana Company F.S.C.Al Dahana FZE filed a number of lawsuits against Nissan following the completion of their joint venture in the Middle East (Nissan Gulf FZC) in 2019. In June 2022, the Dubai Court of Appeal issued a blanket ruling in favour of Nissan, dismissing all of the paint company’s claims against Nissan. Subsequently, in November 2022, the Dubai Court of Appeal issued another ruling in Nissan’s favor, dismissing the case against it completely.The Dubai Court of Cassation upheld the verdict of the Dubai Court of Appeal, which issued a final ruling on April 30, 2024 in Nissan’s favor.Thierry Sabbagh, Vice President of Division, President of Nissan and Infiniti Saudi Arabia and the Middle East, said: “We welcome this ruling by the Dubai Court of Cassation, which confirms our position from the outset and that Nissan acted appropriately and adhered to all its contractual promises.
