Second triumph in a row for Dubai Falcons
Dubai, UAE, Romaldo Labrooy and Anjum Shaikh of Dubai Falcons Racing Team clinched another important victory in Round Two of the Sodi World Series (SWS) Summer Enduro Cup at Dubai Kartdrome on Monday night (6 August). The team leads the championship going into the third and final round.
Labrooy got everything started for the Dubai Falcons by securing the fastest lap in qualifying on the Drop Circuit at Dubai Kartdrome, topping the grid with a best lap time of 58.753.

Shaikh and Labrooy kept up the pressure, controlling the race from pole position and holding off their main rivals, SLD Racing and Al Ain Falcons Racing Team. After 129 laps and over two hours of endurance racing, Labrooy finished what he started, nabbing the chequered flag for the win, crossing the finish line 7.483 ahead of SLD Racing.
Saeed Al Mehairi of Al Ain Falcons Racing Team had the fastest lap of the day, dipping below 58 seconds with a 57.814 scorcher but, by the end of the night, his team had to settle for third-place.
Dubai Falcons Racing Team tops the championship leaderboard with 101 points. Muteb Alsaqhan and Duarte Lopes of SLD Racing are currently in second-place on 92 points. Al Ain Falcons Racing Team, with drivers Saeed Al Mehairi and Mohammed Ismail, sits in third-place with 83 points.
The third and final round of the Summer Enduro Cup takes will decide the championship winners next Monday night, 13 August 2018 at Dubai Kartdorme.
