The contest brought together around 280 drivers from 84 circuits and 35 different countries competing in three categories: Junior Cup, Sprint Cup and Endurance Cup.  The three-day race event took place at Circuito Internazionale Venezia Giulia in Lignano, a kart circuit located near Venice, Italy.

Dubai Kartdrome was represented in the Senior Cup by Ekaterina Kazakova, Karim Al Azhari, Markus Thomas, Abigail Birch, Allan Khoury, Maz Nawaz, Hussain Umid Ali and Anjum Shaikh.

All the Dubai racers put in impressive drives during the weekend, with some collecting trophies in the preliminary rounds.  Out of the twelve sprint drivers competing, five qualified for the final championship races.

Abigail Birch started at the back of the grid for the World Masters Super Final but she managed to pick up seven places in the race and finished 12th place overall in the Senior Cup.  She also earned specials honours as the top Woman Driver of the contest.

Enzo Al Azhari nabbed 16th and Kyle Kumaran 11th for the Junior World Masters Final, while Patrick Debattista and Alexander Renner just missed the podium in the Junior Kid World Masters Final by placing 5th and 6th respectively.

2018 Endurance Championship leader, Bin Drai Karting, qualified in 4th for the 12-hour team endurance race but ended up dropping down to 10th place after the chequered flag.
