Al Mutawaa: “Every second spent behind the wheel is part of the learning curve for us.”
ABU DHABI – Abu Dhabi Racing Junior driver Mohamed Al Mutawaa is looking forward to racing for the second time at Rallye d’Antibes, Round 2 of the seven-round Peugeot 208 Rally Cup, on tarmac, from May 19-20.
Known as ‘Little Mo’ among the racing fraternity, Al Mutawaa and co-driver Aaron Johnston will be behind the wheel of a Peugeot 208 R2.
And while the Abu Dhabi Racing Junior driver has a good feeling ahead of the event having competed in the rally last year, he is aware that one of the challenges will be writing new notes with his new young co-driver.
Leg 1 will comprise a total of 108.32km run over six stages while Leg 2 will have an equal number of stages over a distance of 96.06km.
Al Mutawaa said ahead of the event: “I’m looking forward to Antibes Rally. Having raced at the event last year, I am aware that this tarmac rally is challenging and demanding yet very tempting and enjoyable.
“I’m happy working with Aaron. The two of us are learning fast, especially with respect to communicating with each other. Together we now look to translate our love and passion for the sport into good results during the course of the season.
“I would like to once again thank Abu Dhabi Racing Chairman Sheikh Khalid Al Qassimi for his unflinching support.”
